El Mexican is a branded restaurant concept in Bogotá, created for a restaurant chain built around a Mexico–California cuisine identity. Set within a 230 m² double-height industrial shell, the project reinterprets the atmosphere of the local taquería through a more deliberate architectural lens. Rather than relying on literal references, the design draws on the raw, direct energy of everyday food culture and translates it into a space that feels open, vibrant, and full of character. The result is an environment that feels lively, urban, and immersive—rooted in the spirit of the taquería, yet reimagined for a broader branded identity.
