Virrey Apartment is a residential project in Bogotá, set within a 1950s heritage gem whose modern architectural language became the point of departure for the entire design. The project reinterprets that legacy through geometry and materiality, expressed in elements such as the custom millwork, the low concrete fireplace, the wall-to-wall library, and the continuous plinth that ties together the living space and circulation. Each gesture feels precise yet restrained, allowing the original spirit of the apartment to remain present while introducing a warmer and more contemporary domestic atmosphere.
